At 7 DAYS Active, we believe an active life is about more than movement — it’s a mindset. Rooted in our core values of BODY, MIND, and SOUL, we’re launching “My 7 DAYS Active” — a new monthly series on our social platforms.
We invite our community to share how they stay active throughout the week — from workouts to moments of mindfulness. It’s all about living with intention, balance, and energy, every day.
This month we got to talk to boxer and coach, Zaidoon, about how he stays active during the week and what it means to him.
What is your go-to workout/activity?
Boxing. It’s the core of everything I do. Pad work, bag work, footwork, and conditioning – boxing is where I feel strongest and most focused.
What does your active week look like?
My week is very active. I train and box at Amager Boxing Club, where I also represent and compete. Alongside that, I coach sessions in my own studio and stay active every day through movement, conditioning, or recovery work.
How do you stay motivated to keep moving every day?
I don’t rely on motivation – I rely on discipline. Training is part of who I am. Even on tough days, showing up matters more than feeling motivated.
What role does being active play in your overall well-being?
Being active keeps me mentally sharp and balanced. It helps me manage stress, stay confident, and perform at a high level both as an athlete and a coach.
Do you prefer to work out alone or together with others—and why?
I enjoy both. Training alone helps me focus, but training with others – especially at Amager Boxing Club – pushes me to improve and brings a strong sense of community.
What is your favorite place to be active?
The gym. Amager Boxing Club is where I train and box, and my own studio is where I coach and develop others. Both play an important role in my daily routine.
How do you balance being active with rest and recovery during the week?
I listen to my body. Recovery can be lighter sessions, mobility work, or slowing the pace when needed. Rest is part of staying consistent and performing long-term.
