My 7 DAYS Active: Laura Kurpas

At 7 DAYS Active, we believe an active life is about more than movement — it’s a mindset. Rooted in our core values of BODYMIND, and SOUL, we’re launching “My 7 DAYS Active” — a new monthly series on our social platforms.

We invite our community to share how they stay active throughout the week — from workouts to moments of mindfulness. It’s all about living with intention, balance, and energy, every day.

This month, we spoke with Laura Kurpas, an avid active lifestyle enthusiast, about how she stays active throughout the week and what movement means to her.

What is your go-to workout/activity?

My go-to is really anything that gets me outside. In winter I love skiing and ski touring, and in the warmer months it’s more about biking, running, and hiking. I also like to add mobility work and yoga, so overall I try to keep things quite diverse.

What does your active week look like?

I try to move every day, even if it’s just a short 15-minute stretch. Some days are more intense, others are as simple as going for a walk. Keeping a mix of different activities and intensity levels is
really important to me.

How do you stay motivated to keep moving every day?

Mostly because it makes me feel good. I’ve also learned that motivation isn’t always there, but discipline helps you stay consistent — and that’s what really keeps me feeling balanced and healthy.

What role does being active play in your overall well-being?

A huge one. I honestly don’t think I’d be the same person without it. Moving my body gives me a sense of satisfaction and really helps me clear my mind, especially when things get busy.

Do you prefer to work out alone or together with others—and why?

It depends. If I’m working towards a specific goal, I really enjoy training with friends — it’s motivating and pushing each other makes a big difference. For everyday movement though, I also love doing things on my own, like going for a run with music or having a calm yoga session where I can fully focus.

What is your favorite place to be active?

Definitely outdoors. I love hiking and try to spend as much time in the mountains as possible. That said, home workouts are sometimes necessary, especially as preparation. When I lived in a city, I also really enjoyed trying different Pilates and yoga studios, as well as joining running clubs — it’s such a nice way to meet people.

How do you balance being active with rest and recovery during the week?

I try to listen to my body and not overdo it. I’ve learned that pushing too much doesn’t make me feel better in the long run. Finding a good balance and understanding what works best for me is key.
